Overview of the event
The land use sectors of agriculture and forestry are vital for societal well-being. While pathways to climate neutrality are well defined for many economic sectors, there is currently no integrated analysis on how agriculture, forestry and food can contribute to achieving sustainability objectives within the EU.
Agora Agriculture’s study contributes to closing this gap by presenting a scenario for the land use sectors as part of the food system and the bioeconomy in a climate-neutral EU by mid-century. The study provides insights into the future role of agriculture and forestry as part of the food system and the bioeconomy. It also outlines policies that incentivise and value the contributions of agriculture and forestry to societal objectives and strengthen future-oriented land use sectors.
In our webinar, we first presented the study and then continued with an in-depth and engaging Q&A session with the audience.
