Agora Council

The council of Agora Agriculture discusses our policy proposals and analyses, bringing together key stakeholders from the agricultural, forestry and food policy sectors in an open and trust-based dialogue. 

Agora Agriculture's council consists of around 20 distinguished experts engaged in academia, politics, associations, the private sector, and civil society. Members are appointed for their individual expertise, not as representatives of their respective institutions.

We mourn the loss of our Council member, Folkhard Isermeyer, who passed away on January 14, 2025. From the very beginning, Folkhard Isermeyer accompanied the work of Agora Agriculture – with valuable insight, critical thought and an open mind. He was also a member of our Council from day one. With his remarkable ability to unite diverse perspectives and his tireless commitment to evidence-based solutions, he was a driving force in the pursuit of sustainable agriculture. We are deeply grateful for his contributions.
