Agora Agriculture establishes new council
21 high-ranking stakeholders from politics, civil society, associations and business to advise think tank for food, agriculture and forestry.
Berlin, 18 January 2023. The think tank Agora Agriculture, established in 2022, has announced the appointment of its advisory board, the Agora Agriculture Council. “We are grateful for the valuable contribution this esteemed group will make to our work through its diverse expertise and perspectives,” said Co-Director Dr. Christine Chemnitz. The Agora Agriculture Council is one of two advisory bodies being established in 2023, alongside the Scientific Advisory Board.
“We face significant challenges in developing more sustainable food and land use practices,” said Harald Grethe, Co-Director of Agora Agriculture. Engaging in regular, constructive dialogue with all relevant stakeholders is essential to overcoming these challenges. The Council will play a pivotal role in facilitating this.”
Council members will convene twice a year in private sessions to address the complexities of sustainable transformation in food, agriculture and forestry, as well as to review Agora Agriculture’s ongoing work.
