Emma André

Manager Peatlands for Agricultural Use

Emma André joined the Land Use team in March 2024. As manager, she is responsible for the topic of rewetting peatlands for agricultural use. Her tasks include analysing the economic potential of using wet peatlands and organising dialogues with representatives from agriculture, science, business, and politics to enrich the policy-making process.

Until August 2023, Emma André was project manager for climate and environment at Interbev, a French livestock and meat interbranch organisation based in Paris. Prior to this she worked for the French National Farmers’ Organisation (FNSEA). Emma André studied “Agricultural Development and Comparative Agricultural Economics” in Paris and wrote her master’s thesis on the impact of the Common Agricultural Policy on the development of farming systems in East Frisia.
